I touched a cloud. Correction: I was INSIDE a cloud.

That's it. There are no words really to describe it. I am still riding the high from the day. I have a few pictures, more to come. None are 'professional'. We didn't get the video or photography from the skydiving place { miscommunication reasons } but my friend Mark has an amazing camera and here are some teasers.

Sky Diving

Dear Brandie,
You will be fine. . . . Here is what you need to do. . .

When you are looking off the edge before you jump, take a deep breath, take in the view because before you know it they will be saying "1 2 3 and GO!"

At this point enjoy the ride, make sure your in formation (don't worry they should teach that to you when you get there. I promise it doesn't feel like a dropping feeling its more like floating, floating while it's very very very windy.

Celebrate when you hit the ground. . .you were brave enough to do that which most of the population cannot. You have overcome your fears! I love you and good luck!

Do you live life fully? or Fully live life?

:::Yawns and stretches:::
Morning!
Last night was a rainy one. :/ Went to see the movie "9" with a few friends and was so excitied about it since I saw the previews .. then we went. ___________________ . Yup, that's how I felt, the movie starts off very abrubtly and then there's alot of comotion and NOT alot of real insight of explanation to whats going on, never a down point for explaining. There's is a brief background or plot, but it will still leave you guessing and on the edge of your seat waiting for, well waiting for {something} something that would tie it all together. But, nothing comes. Nothing is really explained. Then the movie kinda just ends as confusing and abrubtly as it starts. I left feeling really disappointed.
I would go into more detail about the movie and what was oh-so confusing, but it just came out and I don't want to be a spoiler to those who would still like to chance it and go see it.

Today starts a new { rainy } day.
-work till noon
-birthday party for my cousin Emilio
- comedy club tonight in New Haven with Frank

Then - hopefully - sleep.
I say .HOPEFULLY. because tomorrow is the day.

Off to grab my pumpkin spice latte && head to work.

Surfing the clouds

Sunday.

Sunday is the day that I will swallow all my fears. Fears of planes. Fears of flying. Fears of falling. Fears of falling from high places. Fears of plane crashed. Fears of things unknown to me.

Sunday I am going skydiving.

It hasnt really hit me yet. The realization of what I am about to do jump out of a plane. I am worried about the feeling in my stomach. How will it really be? Will I be able to breathe? How fast will I be falling? Will I cry from the fear? Will it be okay? Will I live to see Monday?

Sunday.

Sunday I am going skydiving.

September 11

I think everyone can honestly say they remember where they were when 9/11 occurred. I am originally from New York and that's where I was when the world shook for me. I over slept that day and when I awoke it was to a world that was so different from the world that I fell asleep in. I was now in a world of violence and as far as I could tell at that time it seemed like world war 3. We had no clue what was going on. . . I sat all day in the basement watching and watching and crying not wanting to believe that this was really happening. Still to this day it blows my mind that in our great country that this could happen. Why is there so much hatred? A very good friend of mine experienced a loss, a loss that I will never quite understand. My friend was a young wife married to a fire fighter, a hero, with 2 beautiful children. Then as her husband ran in to save the lives of others his life was lost. As she watched the towers fall she knew deep down her husband was gone and now she was a young widow and her 2 children were left fatherless. Her strength through this has given me strength to endure the hardships of my life. Today I pray, I pray for Michael that he is looking over his family with love as a hero from heaven, I pray for my friend who is strong and beautiful and an inspiration to all, I pray for her children, for them to remember their father who forfeited his life to save the lives of others, for them to remember how much he loves them. Please on this day take a minute for those who lost their lives on this day 8 years ago and for those who still give their lives to provide us with the safety and freedom that we all enjoy.

With much love,
Jessica <3

Girls Night In

Tonight I had girls night at my house, which is the first time some of the girls have been to my new house since I moved && got married :)

Manda, Ang, Kat, and Nic came tonight. I had a spread of delish that included a light pasta for dinner and some delish snacks. Pomangrate Blueberry Martini & Chocolate Cheese ball with cinnamon chips, the fruits and the veggies were present as well.

I had cute "games" for us to do too. Which were more like self esteem character boosters. All from reading " How to be a Hepburn...". I took away alot from the book about really building on the women I already am, but making myself stronger and more well rounded. With this new take on myself, I wanted my girls to feel it too. So I took a piece of paper for each girl and wrote her name on the top, passed it around to everyone {but the girls who's name was on the top} to which everyone had to write 3 things about the girl named. Anything really, and inside joke, what you admired about her, her strength or something you thought she did well. It was a big plus, we all decided to keep them and hang them up. Nicole wants to frame hers. I <3 my girls and it was a fantastic night. :) Full of alot of laughs and bonding.

Highly recommend having one of these nights once a month with your group of girls!!

Crazy times

Finally getting over this head cold that I've had all Labor day weekend. No way to spend a long weekend then blowing your nose every 5 seconds and falling sleep every 4 hours due to lack of energy!
So much is coming up this month and next for me, that my head is spinning and I cant keep dates straight. Hense, the purchase of the ginko biloba last night. Thankfully all the craziness is all fun stuff.
*Sept. 13th -- Skydiving with a bunch of friends and my best Frank
*Spet. 16th -- Dutch pancakes with my co-blogger Jessica!
*Sept. 18th to Oct 2nd -- MAUI!! For my belated Honeymoon
{ Married June 13th, Honeymoon was delayed due to the Timeshare we are using was booked till the month of September, and we have 2 weeks to plan so that made it a tad bit harder to book! }
*Oct 13th -- My 25th!!
*Oct 24th -- Jen's wedding

.... this honeymoon brings some bittersweet moments though, due to the late departure, we will be missing my bestfriend 25th and my brother in law's 30th birthdays, my sorority sister/my bridesmaid/ I am her bridesmaid {Jen}'s bachelorette party, and the all time biggest event we are missing -- a 3 day traditional Indian wedding in Flordia for one of the hubby's friends. EXTREMELY bummed about that one!!

Off to play...
